So today, 12-01-2010, the Obama administration annouced that the ban on offshore drilling will NOT be lifted. Instead it WILL BE EXTENDED for 7 years. Not only that but the ban also covers the Atlantic coast as well as the Pacific coast.
So all you folks living on the Gulf states, enjoy your time off: you're on track for a 7 year subsistence life.
Oh, the ban doesn't effect the other nationsdrilling in the same Gulf of Mexico, most notably: China and Mexico.
Guess this manchurian candidate simply wants to show "us" how the Cloward / Piven strategy really works.
